The Winter Olympics come to an end on Sunday with the final two gold medals to be decided in Turin.
The men's 50km freestyle event will bring the cross-country skiing schedule to its traditional close.
In the men's ice hockey final, Finland, chasing their first gold in the event, will face Nordic neighbours Sweden, the 1998 champions.
The last day will also feature a spectacular two-and-a-half hour closing ceremony at the Stadio Olympico.
DAY 16 EVENTS
Germany's Tobias Angerer will be hoping to better the bronze he won in the 15km event earlier in the competition while 30km pursuit champion, Eugeni Dementiev of Russia, has a chance of a second gold.
Another German, Jens Filbrich, is targeting a podium finish along with Frenchman Vincent Vittoz and Italian duo Giorgio di Centa and Pietro Piller Cottrer, a bronze medalist in the double pursuit.
Reigning world champion Frode Estil of Norway will be hoping to give his nation their first cross-country gold of the 2006 Games after they won four in 2002.
Finland, who have won all seven of their matches to reach the final, face their first ever Olympic gold medal match but will have to overcome keen rivals Sweden.
The Finns set up the meeting after a 4-0 semi-final win over Russia while the Swedes defeated the Czech Republic.
The sides have met nine times in Olympic competition with Sweden leading 4-2 with three draws but Finland won their last Olympic encounter in the 1998 quarter-finals.
Sweden famously won Olympic gold in Lillehammer in 1994, with Peter Forsberg scoring the match-winner against Canada and the Philadelphia Flyers ace will be hoping for another chance of glory.
More than 2,000 dancers, acrobats and clowns will take centre stage for the closing ceremony which will bring the curtain down on the Games.
Among the musical stars at the Stadio Olympico will be opera singer Andrea Bocelli and rock singers Ricky Martin and Avril Lavigne.
The traditional Italian carnival and circus are the themes for the night.
The Olympic flag will be handed over to representatives of Vancouver, who will host the next Games in 2010.
