Scottish Secretary Alasdair Darling is to close the Scottish Labour conference stressing that it is the only party prepared to take hard decisions.
He will continue Labour's attack on the Lib Dems, in the wake of their shock victory in the Dunfermline by-election.
Mr Darling will point to ID cards and anti-terror laws as evidence that only Labour is prepared to accept the responsibility that comes with power.
First Minister Jack McConnell addressed the Aviemore conference on Saturday.
