A man has been released without charge after his arrest under the Terrorism Act led to the evacuation of Swansea flats in a major police operation.
South Wales Police, who launched the inquiry on Wednesday after reports of a "potentially harmful substance" at a flat, said nothing dangerous was found.
Officers told residents in Ozanam Court and nearby in Portmead that there was "no longer a threat to their safety".
Police had been given three extra days to interview the 37-year-old man.
The operation involving armed officers had led to about 20 families being forced to leave their homes in Ozanam Court.
They were initially put up in a community centre before being moved to bed and breakfast accommodation.
They were allowed back home on Friday, while the arrested man was still being questioned.
Late on Saturday, police said in a statement: "The search of the flat has concluded and officers have found no trace of any dangerous substances.
"Residents who live locally can be reassured there is no longer any threat to their safety, and they can now return to a sense of normality and continue with their day-to-day lives.
"South Wales Police would like to thank in particular, the residents of Ozanam Court and those who live nearby for their co-operation.
"They would also like to thank the wider community and the media for their support throughout the investigation."
