David Beckham expects to feature in England's friendly against Uruguay at Anfield on Wednesday.
The England skipper was substituted in Real Madrid's weekend loss to Mallorca after picking up a back injury.
But Beckham said: "My back should be fine. It was just a little bit of pain and being cautious I just came off."
There are concerns over midfielder Steven Gerrard's fitness after he required treatment on his foot during Liverpool's win over Manchester City.
It prompted Reds manager Rafael Benitez to repeat his call on England counterpart Sven-Goran Eriksson to leave Gerrard out of Wednesday's team.
"Gerrard has played a lot of games already and because we have lost Mohamed Sissoko I will need him even more," Benitez was quoted in The People newspaper.
"Players need a rest. I don't want to give Eriksson advice. He is experienced but he must think about it."
Eriksson will make a decision on how to use Gerrard after assessing the player on Monday.
