Four people have been taken to hospital following an explosion at a pharmaceutical factory in Irvine.
The incident at the GlaxoSmithkline site in Shewalton Road occurred at about 0700 GMT.
Emergency services said two people have been taken to Crosshouse Hospital, in Kilmarnock, with burns. Two others were suffering from shock.
Police officers said the 20 people who were working in the factory at the time have all been accounted for.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
Three ambulances were sent to the scene and police set up a cordon.
A spokesman for Glaxo Smithkline said the part of the factory where the explosion happened had been shut down and the incident had been contained.
He added that the rest of the factory was up and running.
