A man has been charged with the murder of French student Amelie Delagrange, Scotland Yard has said.
Levi Bellfield, 37, a wheelclapmer and bouncer from West Drayton, west London, has also been charged with two attempted murders.
He will also face attempted abduction and false imprisonment charges relating to a fourth woman.
Ms Delagrange, 22, was attacked on Twickenham Green, south-west London, in August 2004.
Ms Delagrange, who had been in the UK for two months to improve her English, was attacked as she made her way home from a night out.
She was taken to hospital with serious head injuries but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Mr Bellfield was also charged with the attempted murder of former convent school head girl Kate Sheedy, as well as attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm to Irma Dragoshi.
Miss Sheedy was 18 when she was in a hit and run incident in May 2004.
She had just got off a bus when a car revved its engine and ran her over before reversing back over her.
Mr Bellfield will also face charges relating to the attempted abduction and false imprisonment of 17-year-old Anne Maria Rennie.
She was at a bus stop in Hospital Bridge Road, Twickenham, when a car with two men inside pulled up nearby.
One grabbed her and tried to drag her into the car but she managed to escape.
Mr Bellfield is due to appear at Horseferry Road Magistrates' Court on Friday.
