Police say a body discovered in a park in Greater Manchester is that of a young boy.
The body was found by officers searching for missing 11-year-old Joe Geeling, who failed to return home from school on Wednesday.
It was found hidden in a wooded gulley in Whitehead Park, Ainsworth, Bury, on Thursday morning, but has not yet been formally identified.
Police are questioning a 14-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder.
Joe, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, was last seen on Manchester Road on his way home from St Gabriel's RC High School.
His school is just a 15-minute walk from the youngster's home on Devon Street.
Head teacher Eddie P Robinson said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time."
Supt Peter Scofield of Greater Manchester Police said a boy had been found in a gulley shaded by trees at the side of the park, by officers who were searching the area.
Mr Scofield said he did not anticipate any more arrests would be made in connection with the discovery.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Friday that the body was that of a boy of "school age".
A spokeswoman added: "The body has not yet been formally identified and remains at the scene while forensic investigations continue."
